Kobe & Vanessa Bryant announce they’re having a fourth daughter
January 2, 2019
Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant decided to retire from basketball a few years back. Since then, he has had all the time in the world on his hands to do whatever he desires. It turns out he and his wife have decided to expand their family with another child.
Earlier this week, Kobe and Vanessa announced that the Bryant’s would be welcoming their fourth child to the fold later this year. They took it to Instagram to share that their fourth daughter will be born during 2019.
The proud father of three and future father of four wrote this in the photo’s caption:
“Vanessa and I are beyond excited to announce that we are expecting another #mambacita to go along with Natalia, Gianna and Bianka #blessed #bryantbunch #daddysprincesses #love #2019”
Kobe met his now-wife back in 1999 when he was 21-years old and she was only 17. The two began dating and were engaged after six months. They married on April 18, 2001.
The couple welcomed their first daughter named Natalia Diamante Bryant in 2003. Three years later, they welcomed another daughter they named Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant. Five years after their second daughter was born, Vanessa filed for divorce but the couple put their differences aside and called off the divorce after a couple of years. They welcomed another daughter Bianka in December of 2016.
A few years back, Kobe shared the most amazing message to his daughters. He said:
“I hope that tonight is not … you guys know that if you do the work, if you work hard enough, dreams come true. You know that, we all know that. But hopefully what you get from tonight is the understanding is that those times when you get up early and you work hard, those times when you stay up late and you work hard, those times when you don’t feel like working, you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself but you do it anyway: That is actually the dream. That’s the dream. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And if you guys can understand that, then what you’ll see happen is that you won’t accomplish your dreams. Your dreams won’t come true, something greater will. And if you guys can understand that, then I’m doing my job as a father.”
