With 2018 over, we are more than ready to see what will happen in the new year. For the New England Patriots, this year begins the same way as many of the previous ones. They have started preparing for the playoffs.
At the moment, the Patriots are in the second place in the league. They have a bye week before going back on the court on January 13th. Their first game will be a tough one because they will go against the highest-ranked team coming out of the AFC’s wild-card round. This means that the Patriots need to be in the best shape possible.
According to recent reports, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has come forward to share his New Year’s resolutions. The 41-year old talked to reporters about this and shared:
“Less interceptions, more touchdowns. That would be it.”
Just a few weeks back, Brady shared this desire to keep playing well into his mid-40s. He told Westwood One’s reporters this:
“I absolutely believe I will. I know I’ve talked about it for a long time. I have goals to not only play next year, but beyond that. And I’m going to try to do it as best I possibly can. I’m going to give it everything I have, like I always have. It will certainly be a challenge. I don’t take any of these things for granted, but I hope I can keep playing, and I hope I can keep playing at a championship level.”
He went on to share:
“It tests you in so many ways. I’ve been dealing with it for a long time. There’s anxiousness and nerves, and there’s joy and happiness, there’s disappointment and frustration. The emotions run the gamut. But if you can stay and build your mental toughness, it has just been incredibly rewarding. And I’m a very, very lucky man.”
We can’t wait to see if Brady’s wishes come true!
